The Torah commandment "And on the seventh day you shall rest.” We understand this to mean rest from creative work. Shabbat at Chabad House is definitely NOT a dull, boring day to laze around.

Shabbat Table (small)
Delicious home cooked meals every  week.
Guest speakers and special themed Shabbat dinners add some extra spice!

Following Mincha [afternoon service] on Friday, Rabbi Posner enlightens the gathering with a Torah thought on the weekly Parsha.
Kabbalat Shabbat - Service to welcome Shabbat is punctuated with singing and even a bit of around-the bimah dancing!
Prayer books are in Hebrew and English.

Kiddush and Shabbat dinner follow. Everybody is invited to gather around the "expandable" Shabbat table with the Posner family and enjoy home-made Shabbat delicacies, delightful Jewish tales and anecdotes and join in singing Chassidic tunes!

Like everything we do at Chabad House, no previous experience is necessary.
Sign up for our weekly email to receive weekly times and special guests.
